Ranking procedure

A position in the ranking depends on the number of points.
The less the product scores, the higher it is in the ranking.

The total number of points for each product is calculated under the formula:

Food ranking

where n — an amount of nutrients in the ranking;
a — points received for each nutrient.

The products are sorted by each nutrient (based on its quantity). For each nutrient, the product gets 1 point for the first place, 2 points for the second place and so on. The total number of points for each nutrient is calculated under the formula:

Food ranking

where n — a number of products in the ranking;
i — points (1 point for the first place, 2 points for the second place and so on).

If two or more products contain the same amount of nutrients, such products receive the same number of points, which is determined under the formula:

Food ranking

where n — a number of products with the same amount of nutrients;
i — points (1 point for the first place, 2 points for the second place and so on);
k — the highest place among products with the same amount of nutrients.
